LIPOSOMAL MARINE Cartidyss® COLLAGEN

Liposomal Marine Cartidyss® Collagen is the most efficient and effective form of collagen supplementation.

WHAT IS COLLAGEN?

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body and is made up of amino acids. It accounts for 30% of your body’s protein. It has several significant functions, including providing structure to the connective tissues and promoting skin health.

WHAT IS LIPOSOMAL COLLAGEN?

A liposome is essentially a more effective delivery system of supplements or medicine. It works by containing said supplement inside very small particles that mimic our bodies' cell membranes. This therefore allows it to travel further and more safely through the body by preventing the supplement from being broken down prematurely.

As most forms of collagen can’t survive the pH levels in our digestive system, liposomal collagen is the safest bet for effective oral consumption.

The collagen molecule is too large a protein for effective absorption via the skin or gut barrier. However, ingesting liposomal collagen solves this as it is able to deliver collagen through your gut barrier with up to 95% efficiency.

WHAT IS Cartidyss® COLLAGEN?

Cartidyss® is a MUCH MORE THAN COLLAGEN PEPTIDES.

Naturally composed of collagen peptides and glycosaminoglycans (chondroitin, glucosamine, hyaluronic acid) resulting from the valorization of marine co-products, Cartidyss® helps support the structure and the optimal properties of the skin by promoting the densification of the dermis and dermal extracellular matrix.

It can help to:

  • Improve the preservation of skin texture and the optimal properties of the skin by promoting the densification of the dermis and dermal extracellular matrix
  • Reduce the appearance of visible fine lines and wrinkles
  • Increase blood flow to the skin
  • Aid skin elasticity and hydration
  • Repair damage and healing wounds
  • Improves joint health by protecting the cartilage

WHY DO WE NEED COLLAGEN SUPPLEMENTS?

As we age, we begin to lose about 1% of our collagen per year in our mid-20s. Additionally, we lose as much as 30% during the first 5 years of menopause. Resultantly, the loss in collagen leads to thinning, sagging skin, as well as wrinkle development, and a loss of natural fullness.

Above all, around 80% of the skin is made up of its collagen supplies. As it is such a vital component of our skin, it is crucial for dermatological health.

The loss of collagen is a natural process, however, factors such as sun exposure, regular smoking, pollution, and the overconsumption of sugar, refined carbs, and alcohol, can accelerate the process.

Fortunately, however, collagen supplements can slow down the process as they help to replenish lost collagen production and supply in the body.

Please note that you can only enjoy the benefits of collagen supplements whilst taking them. When the supply is gone, the effects will resultantly likely disappear. This is why it is important to consistently and regularly consume collagen.

CLINICAL STUDIES

A recent clinical study demonstrated a significant reduction in wrinkles of more than 20% in treated subjects compared to placebo, after 90 days of supplementation with Cartidyss® at a very low dosage of 500 mg per day.

In addition, this same study confirmed an increase in the density of the dermis by 38% compared to the placebo, thus promoting better support of the upper layers by densification of the extracellular protein matrix. A significant effect on skin photoaging was also noted, in particular by the presence of a more structured network of collagen fibers.

Finally, the study demonstrated an excellent perception of the efficacy of the product by the treated volunteers.

Another human clinical study was performed to demonstrate the benefit of Cartidyss® on joint health with a daily dose of 1000 mg. The results obtained are conclusive and a scientific article is in the process of being published.

HOW IS MARINE Cartidyss® COLLAGEN DIFFERENT FROM BOVINE COLAGEN?

The biggest difference between these two collagen is the source. Marine collagen comes from fish, while bovine collagen comes from cows. Bovine is created from cow hides, and marine is made from fish skin and scales.

Marine collagen is cleaner than bovine collagen

Fish (the source of our marine collagen), come from open water sources, you can expect your source to be much cleaner than bovine collagen. Wild-caught fish are taken from their natural habitat, where there are no antibiotics or food additives.

Another difference is that marine collagen is primarily a Type I or Type II collagen, while bovine is typically a mixture of Type I and Type III.

Type I and Type II collagen is the most abundant type of collagen found in the human body. It’s also the strongest type, meaning it works the most effectively to heal and rebuild in your body. Type III is the second most abundant type of collagen in your body.
